Hot Springs National Park has a rich cultural past. Take a tour of the beautiful bathhouses, explore the ancient thermal springs. Take one of the forested hiking trails along the abundant creeks to view the hot spring mountains. All this in the middle of town!

Caddo River
The Caddo River is known widely as the Natural State’s premier family float stream, this scenic river is named after the Caddo Indians. This spring fed river offers something for everyone. Visitors to the Caddo can experience diverse recreational opportunity in a safe, easily accessible, natural setting. Towering sycamore, sweet gum, cottonwood, ash, water and willow oak, and river birch line the banks. During the summer, cardinal flower, composites, and other wild flowers give the river a colorful look. Grab a canoe or tube and relax down this beaytiful landmark!
Lake Greeson
Lake Greeson is fill by the Little Missouri River. This lake has many hunting and fishing opportunities as well as swimming, boating, and ATV trials. The lake is a wintering site for bald eagles.
Lake DeGrey
DeGray Lake is a reservoir on the Caddo River. DeGrey is known for its geological formations and fishing. Located in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains, lake visitors can enjoy boating, fishing, swimming and scuba diving as well.
Little Missouri Falls
This beautiful area is located deep within the Ouachita National Forest. There is a picnic area located at the parking area, where the trail to the Little Missouri Falls begins. The trail to the falls is short and a little steep, at the end of the trail you will find a viewing platform where you can look back at the breathtaking falls. This trip is completely worth it.
Charlton Recreation Area
This historic recreation area is located along the small but scenic Walnut Creek. The area offers hiking, picnicking, fishing, & swimming all in the heart of the Ouachita National Forest. A must see is the small native stone dam and rustic bathhouse that were built in 1930s, and contribute to the swimming portion of the rec area.
